In her honor

The story behind our Foundation.

Everything we do is driven by the memory of Kaytya and her enduring legacy.

A note from our founder

Why this work began

This page speaks about loss and grief.

Caring for her younger sister, Kaytya, taught our founder, Paradise Rodriguez-Bordeaux, compassion and resilience. The two were very close. Kaytya had medical needs from an early age, and the loss of her is the heart of this story.

The Foundation began as a haven for neglected children in circumstances like Kaytya's. It has grown to take on domestic violence, human trafficking, hunger and homelessness, and to support people with unique needs. Today it offers help to people in crisis and a compassionate ear to anyone who needs one.

A symbolic sidewalk paver honoring Kaytya was placed at Give Kids The World, where the two had planned to volunteer together. A share of profits from the founder's businesses supports the Foundation.

She is my why.

Draft note: this section summarizes the founder's letter from the current site. Replace it with her own words before launch.
